Enzo Puzzovio
Enzo Puzzovio took up the cittern in 1980 and has used it continuously as part of his busy career as a singer and multi-instrumentalist on lute, hurdy-gurdy and more. His cittern playing appears on five albums of early music: two with his band Grynwode (1987 & 1990) and on three solo CDs (1998, 2002 & 2006) the last of which features the cittern’s repertoire that faded into the end of the 17th century. His cittern has accompanied him on several TV appearances and to concerts as far apart as California and Australia.
As well as playing, he edited and published the 1626 collection of Dutch cittern music by Adriaen Valerius.
